Vector-Analyzer
The vector of mandibular closure with respect to the plane of reference can either be individually determined (with the patient in the upright position and habitual movements of the patient with no interference by external manipulation!) or approximated.
The Vector Analyzer is cut on the bottom so that placing it on the table in front of your articulator the cross on the condyle will coincide with the articulator axis. Using the height adjustment of the HIP-Mount and sliding the maxillary cast sagittally, the chewing center (first molar) can be aligned in the articulator so that the desired vector of closure is obtained.
